Commercial Agriculture

Built to Perform in the Field.
Designed to Stand the Test of Time.

K & M Concrete supports modern ag construction with high-performance concrete scopes that align to the heavy-use environments common in today’s agricultural operations.

Commercial agriculture facilities demand more than production — they demand durability, efficiency, and concrete work that performs under real operating conditions. This market is a defined strategic focus for K&M, including poultry operations and potato storage, and we approach it with the same disciplined planning and execution used across our higher-spec work.

Understanding Commercial Agriculture Demands

Our roots in agriculture have shaped the way we build: we focus on practical planning, deliver durable results, and earn trust job after job.

Today, our commercial agriculture work frequently intersects with large-scale food and storage infrastructure.

  • Poultry Operations
  • Egg Production Facilities
  • Potato Operations

Across all these facility types, we know that successful execution demands disciplined coordination to meet:

Precision, Coordination, and Quality Control

Commercial agriculture projects reward teams that plan well and execute consistently. Our structural concrete approach emphasizes accuracy, constructability, and quality control so concrete elements perform under real-world conditions.

We support that performance with proven field methods and advanced layout capabilities, including:

  • Total station robotics for accurate site and building layout
  • BIM Modeling
  • Modular forming systems (hand-set and gang forms)
  • Proven placement and finishing techniques suited to demanding environments

This approach helps reduce rework risk and supports the reliable progress needed on large, schedule-driven agriculture and food infrastructure projects.

Experience in Secure & Confidential Environments

Our experience in agriculture is longstanding—we “got our start in agricultural construction,” and those early relationships shaped our ongoing commitment to durability, efficiency, and trust.

Commercial Agriculture Projects

Project Name: Central Valley

Project Type: Seed Cleaning Facility

Project Owner/GC: Central Valley Ag/CCM Welding

Project Workscope: Footings & Foundations, Mat Slabs, Slab on Grade

K&M Concrete delivered a full self‑performed concrete scope for a new seed cleaning operation constructed adjacent to active Burlington Northern rail trackage and an operating grain elevator. The project was executed as a fast‑tracked, custom design‑build, requiring close coordination with ongoing agricultural and rail operations.

Our scope included foundations for process equipment and storage bins, job‑site fabricated millwright support structures, pre‑engineered metal buildings, a dedicated rail building, and exterior concrete approaches supporting material flow and site circulation. Precise planning, sequencing, and quality control were critical to maintaining schedule while integrating new construction into an active facility environment.

This project highlights K&M’s capability to support complex, schedule‑driven commercial agriculture facilities where operational continuity, constructability, and durability are essential.
